The Calgary Vipers, although they are not classed as a major league baseball team, are one of the teams forming the Northern League. Despite a recently troubled history surrounding their ownership, their fan base has been growing in strength over the past few years and they are gaining in popularity within the Calgary baseball community.

Yes there is a membership fee to join. But besides the sport element there are other events that the organization arranges that, as a member, you are eligible to participate in.

Baseball Alberta caters to all ages. I think the youngest member is somewhere around 5 with the oldest being in their 60's. So it's a great way to enjoy sport, socialize and help the community at the same time.
