You like old stuff, well here it is. Not only the very familiar rock like you hear on
Q107 Calgary or Jack FM in
Calgary, but perhaps some music you have not heard in a while.
"Deep into the music" as one of these Calgary radio stations has been known to say.
Back in the Day sprinkles that with oodles of your favourites, and a healthy party mix results.
The band has played for years in parts of the Calgary neighbourhood pub circuit under the name "ShadowBeat", as well as sports league wrap up parties. And family events too. The people here know and love good rock when they hear it.
Where have we played in the last few years? Station 52, Barley Mill, Top's Pizza, Donadeo's, Chelsea's to name a few.

The band formed in 1999, long before this classic rock official website. It came out of the ashes of 4Shadow, a rock band consisting of Brian Mason, Ray Broughton, Malcolm Achtman and Barry Lough. After Ray and Brian left Roy Stoffels joined and the group took on its next moniker, ShadowBeat. Then in 2010 the band was made full once again and re-titled Back in the Day
After some personnel changes in the new century, Roy and Barry still rock on with Roy's brother John plus a very good rock bassist and drummer.
