The band has played for years in parts of the Calgary neighbourhood pub circuit, sports league wrap up parties. And family events too. The people here know and love good rock when they hear it.

The band formed in 1999, long before this classic rock official website. It came out of the ashes of 4Shadow, a rock band consisting of Brian Mason, Ray Broughton, Malcolm Achtman and Barry Lough. After Ray and Brian left Roy Stoffels joined and the group took on its current moniker, ShadowBeat.
After some personnel changes in the new century, Roy and Barry still rock on with Roy's brother John plus a very good cyber-bassist and drummer as always. The beat from the shadows.
Electronic musicians are never late, will play quietly all night when told to, cost nothing to perform with and show up ready to play all night. However they may require fresh batteries once in a while.
