Know anyone who's "tone deaf"? For these people sometimes just to listen music rock & roll really sounds like nothing more than rain drumming incessantly on a roof.

For these people music becomes a little like Chinese water torture. Calgary has its fair share of these people and the city has provided other entertainment opportunities for these poor unfortunate souls. The ones who are just unable to appreciate the sound of good music!

For the person who doesn't have a tin ear though, and who likes to just sit down and listen music rock, country, jazz or whatever sounds like the best thing on this earth.

For these Calgarians, coming home after a hard day's night and popping a song or two into the latest and greatest music system is the perfect end to their day.

Then again, these music loving Calgarians also have the option of tuning their radios to one of the many stations that provides Calgary with most corners of the musical map. In Calgary, being what it is, you'll find there are a great many people who are enthusiastic about their music, and the radio stations respond accordingly.

Some stations will play a great classic rock playlist all day long, and can be listened to tirelessly.

The true blue music lover will appreciate many forms of music, and will appreciate anything they hear although they will have their favorites, and their choice may even be to listen music rock festivals and jam sessions. No better way to take in their favorite pastime.

Is there a downside?

Of course, with these rock music fans there's a good chance they will also have a catchy Rolling Stone ringtone on their mobile phone. If you go to work by Calgary Transit,

you will naturally enough have heard many of these during the morning and evening rush hour.

It's also a good bet that these self same music lovers, at one point or other in their younger lives, wanted a play drum set, a toy piano, or a kiddie guitar.

For the unfortunate parent who has to listen music rock unwillingly, it almost always brings back sensations of pounding until their adored child learns, finally, to move up to a real instrument and play it properly.

Enough of that. Calgary also has its fair share of rock festivals which you can enjoy with uninhibited enthusiasm. So, enjoy and listen music rock for good times if you can, have fun and don't miss out on this great aspect of being alive in these wondrous times in Calgary. Try not to worry about the kids for a while.
