Never been to Alberta and it was the first time looking at it on a map.

Never been to Alberta

Never been to Alberta

I am familiar with Calgary and Edmonton because of professional hockey. As an Angel fan in baseball, Edmonton was their triple A affiliate and I was very surprised to see how far north the city is.

From the map I get the impression that it would be too cold to play baseball there, except for a couple of months in the summer.

Barry's Response - The Koppen Climate classification for both these cities would be Dfb, which would roughly mean good ball playing weather can be expected for about 5 months out of the year (May to September), after which frosty nights and cool (or cold) days normally occur.

The article was good, it offered good perspective, but I would have liked it to be longer. Alberta is a pretty interesting place, so maybe more about that and the baseball team?

It did fit in well with the theme of the webpage, though. Thanks!

It is really cold there. There is a lot of tourist attraction site in that area as well. Example. Edmonton Mall. I never been there before so I would like to go.
