Apple's iPhone

Apple's iPhone

Every now and then I find myself with a song stuck in my head. Usually it just pops in their out of no where. When this happens, I have to actually hear the song before getting it out of my head. I usually know the name of the song I am looking for and can usually easily find a video on-line of the band performing that song. Lyrics, on the other hand, are a different story.

On the rare occasion when I do not know the details of the song in my head, I have to rely on the lyrics that I remember. Sometimes, that just won't do, especially when the last time I actually heard the song was a few years ago! What to do? Usually I just stick the lyric in to google and hope for the best, but that doesn't always work. Sad :-(

Never heard of the sites listed above, but hopefully they will be helpful in the future.

Barry's Response - Thanks Rafie. For any other readers, he is likely referring to grooveshark.com, songtapper.com and/or allmusic.com. If you currently hear a recording you want identified, Apple has an application called Shazam (on the iPhone) which supposedly figures it all out for you. It would be neat to try.
