The plus fifteen network connects about 60 city blocks and around 200
buildings. To do this they use a series of elevated hallways, pathways and bridges approximately 15 feet (5 metres) above the street level. A fantastic infrastructure.

The main (west) network, depicted below in the second map, interconnects the downtown buildings west of Centre Street and north of 9th Avenue SW.

The east network is shown in the third map, about three-quarters of the way down this page. This network serves by interconnecting buildings east of Center Street, including the...

Calgary Public Library,
Calgary City Hall,
more businesses,
Calgary's arts community,
civil service locations
the Calgary Tower.

Smaller passageways, seen as detached pieces in the first map below, help by connecting one or two buildings.

They enable downtown shoppers and employees to move from one place to another without going outside in Canada's erratic weather. Through future construction, maybe all parts will be attached. Then you may cross the entire downtown without going outside, dodging traffic and so forth.

You can find nearly anything in here. A Calgary downtown restaurant, department store, various clothing and Calgary jewelry stores all together or somehow connected.

But it would be difficult to navigate without the assistance of some kind of map. See the directory that follows to locate retail and fast food establishments throughout this complex.

No other complete directory exists for this system. It was built in a piecemeal fashion over the last few decades.

Streets in Calgary run north and south, while avenues run east and west, so bridges crossing streets run east and west whilst those crossing avenues go north and south.
